Pastoral Care
Roedean is committed to the emotional, social, and personal well-being of every girl, within a nurturing, supportive, and safe environment. Optimal learning occurs when the girls feel valued, supported, and accepted. Every girl is encouraged to achieve personal success and be affirmed in her own self-worth. We encourage each girl to adopt a sense of personal accountability towards and a reflection of her own behaviour.

Due to ever-increasing academic, sport, and social pressures, the girls are guided to achieve a balanced lifestyle and to build emotional resilience.
A collaborative approach with our school psychologists and therapists enables us to create effective strategies to assist girls who experience challenges.

The Round Square ideals form the foundations of our Upper IV Leadership Programme. The girls work towards achieving the criteria for Sub-Digne and Digne awards, which underpin the values upheld by a Roedean Girl. Our Upper IV Diversity and Transformation Programme reflects our commitment to celebrating differences and promoting inclusion.
