Roedean Community Building

One of the PTA’s objectives is to build the community of Roedean by creating opportunities for all the people who form part of the Roedean Community to interact and to socialise.

Annual PTA Cocktail Party

Annually, on the first Friday after the school reopens, after the Christmas holidays, the PTA hosts a cocktail party, in Founders’ Hall, to which all parents and members of staff are invited.

Moms & Daughters Lunch

The Moms & Daughters annual lunch is held every year on the first Saturday after the Matric dance. Matric girls get one more chance to show off their matric dance dresses in a fashion show designed to please young and old alike. The Gymnasium undergoes a transformation ranging over the years from themes such as “Out of Africa”, “Hot Saffron” to “A Pastel Parade”. Mothers and daughters in the Junior and Senior Schools are all invited to dress up in theme for the occasion, standing a chance of winning one of the best-dressed prizes. Gorgeous raffle hampers are up for grabs. The funds generated from the raffles are used to defer costs. We do not host this event as a fundraiser but rather as an opportunity for mothers and daughters in the Roedean community to connect and create special memories together.

2018 – “Runway”

2017 – “Mystic Forest”

2016 – “A Pastel Parade”

2015 – “Hot Saffron”
