DRAMATIC ARTS

Annually the drama department hosts the School Production as well as Interhouse plays. The annual production offers drama enthusiasts the opportunity to show-off their acting prowess whilst other girls learn the ropes back stage. Regardless of one’s interest in theatre this offers one the chance to explore every facet.

The Interhouse plays see team spirit ignited and each house is compared against several criteria. There is a prize for the best actress, best supporting actress, best director, best set – to name a few. Creativity and ingenuity are qualities developed in this process as each house tries to outdo the other. The girls take ownership of the full production process from adapting plays to designing a set with of course little to no budget. Each year adjudicators who are currently pioneers in the industry, not only choose the award recipients but offer insight and tips to the girls on how they can improve their skill.
