The PTA hosted its wonderful Mother & Daughter Victorian Tea during the second term which gave the Roedean community a chance to see the Matric girls showcase their dance dresses and to acknowledge the prize winners from the MDC fashion show.

Large fundraising activities include the Golf Day, the enormous task  of organising the supply of stationery and textbooks for the school as well as running the Project Club, and co-ordinating the MySchool card funds for the school.

With the funds raised the PTA has undertaken a number of projects around the school – some of which include the  refurbishment of the Senior School locker-rooms, remodelling the climbing wall, purchasing a new PA system for the school, installing better lighting  for the Senior School pool as well as improving the catering equipment for the sports pavilion. In addition to these small projects, the PTA has undertaken to pay for the construction of the changes-rooms for the Jan Mallen Learn- to- Swim  Pool. As in the past,  a generous portion of the funds from the Golf Day are pledged to the School Bursary Fund.

The PTA would like to thank  Emmie Kruger and wish her well in her new position as Chair of the school board and also to thank Marianna Katz, who has recently resigned,  for her hard work in creating the greatly admired Mother and Daughter event.

The Roedean School  PTA would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire school and community for their unwavering support of all our projects.
