The pupils’ participation in The President’s Award continues to inspire them to set worthwhile goals and to experience a sense of achievement. The camaraderie that they experience often forms some of the most cherished memories of their years at Roedean.
Roedean’s co-curricular programme offers pupils many opportunities to participate in service projects, skills development, physical activities and to enjoy Adventurous Journeys on the bronze, silver and gold levels.
“The President’s Award has been amazing. I learnt compassion, empathy, and persistence. I learnt that I could do something which benefits me and others at the same time. It truly has been a very fulfilling experience”

“From sleeping in tents, to spending afternoons around the hockey field, the President’s Award has really changed my life for the better. During the adventurous Journeys, I was completely isolated from all technology and the luxuries of city life which made me gain a greater appreciation for the beauty of nature. The President’s Award has pushed me to appreciate the importance of teamwork. Participating in my skill has taught me the importance of commitment. I learnt that I don’t need to be super talented to participate in the award, as it is for everyone who is willing to put in the effort to go beyond their comfort zone and complete what is required”
